I was surprised that the container wasn't filled all the way to the top when I opened it. I didn't notice any spillage or damage to the box but, some of the cream looked like it was spilled. The cream had a scent that I couldn't put a finger on. Personally, I didn't really care for the scent. As another reviewer mentioned, a little doesn't go a long way here. I had to scoop out portions of the body butter and rubbed it into my skin. My skin felt soft and smooth. I love how silky my skin felt even though I didn't really care for the product itself, especially the scent and how small the container was. While, it was a very good and nourishing body butter, I don't see this container lasting very long.I wanted this product to work for me simply because the ingredient list is so clean. However, I simply can't get passed the smell of the product. There are no added fragrances, which is great. Having said that, it really does moisturize well. In fact, much better than any product I currently own. I have extremely dry skin and found that after one application, my skin looked and felt so much better, even the next morning. Because I like how well it works, I'm going to try adding some lavender essential oil to see if I can improve the product's natural scent. The scent is the only deal-breaker. Otherwise, this is a high-quality moisturizer.The outside of the product comes in a decent size container. When I opened it, there were lotion “crust” like when you leave something unopened or out. It’s also not filled all the way. I still decided to try it out, the smell is strong VERY strong. It was not the easiest to apply since a little bit does not go a long way. I did notice my skin feel moisturized but the smell remained. I don’t feel the smell is right for me and this is the reason (aside from the old “lotion crust”) I would not give this product a high rating overallThe smell is not overpowering but it is not pleasant either.The body butter itself is not greasy. That is a plus. But I cannot get the smell out of my nose. If I do not like it, I certainly do not want to go through the day subjecting others to the weird smell.There are so many good body butters on the market that do not stink. I think I will just stick with one of those.This body butter smells wonderful, and also feels so moisturizing and this is such a great value makes your skin feel so soft. What is a felon and smelly wonderful I was so surprised definitely recommend.I just got this body butter today and am very disappointed. I always try to give things the benefit of the doubt and if you look at my other reviews, you will see I'm not one of those people who find fault with everything. That said...I've included photos of the freshly opened product. It looks "off". There is discoloration in some places and there was product between the rim and inner protective lid, almost as if it had been opened. There was no tamper proof packaging.In addition to the appearance, this stuff smells off, too. There is nothing pleasant about the odor. It smells slightly rancid to me. The one other review says it smells "wonderful." The jar I got is nowhere near wonderful.I'd love to try it and see how well it nourished my skin, but quite honestly, I do not want to put this stuff on my skin. It's off-putting as it is to say the least.As much as I hate it, I have to give this one star based upon the product I got.Not sure what this is; but it has a really odd smell. It kind of smells like clay. The inside of the container is really weird. It looks like something was in it and then most of it was removed. My container has less than 1/3 of product in it.Then, whatever is in it had a "crust" on it that I had to break through to get to the product. When I put it on my skin (yes, I continued to proceed with this) it clumped up and did not spread out all that well.This definitely was not body butter; I'm really not sure what it was. I definitely would not recommend this.
